  3. If humans are replaced by machines in the workplace, what are we going to do with all our free time?

The whole machine era is coming a component at a time. Any kind of job could in theory be replaced by a technology if you build human level AI. Now that may of course, may or may not be a good thing. You are simultaneously making a lot of people almost completely useless while generating a lot more wealth. It is true that a lot of these jobs will soon be redundant and my response is.. GOOD! Most work is in fact a waste of time already and I think people understand that intuitively. Going to an office and doing mundane work you know, let’s get rid of that. Let us get the machines to take over that. Let’s focus on something that is more valuable. Being unemployed is not a positive thing in itself. There has to be some kind of transition point to some other form of life after that. If this keeps up, it won’t be long before machines do everything! Nobody will have work!
